The Kansas City Royals kick off a four-game (back-to-back two-game?) series against their inter-state rivals the St. Louis Cardinals tonight at Busch Stadium.
Danny Duffy will start the game for the Royals. Duffy looked terrible in his last start against the Houston Astros, allowing six runs on seven hits over four innings, also issuing five walks. The southpaw was apparently dealing with "dead arm" in his last appearance, so hopefully the trainers resurrected his arm over the past five days so he resembles maddeningly mediocre Duffy instead of the terrible version.
Shelby Miller will take the mound for the home team. Miller has been disappointing this year after a strong debut season, posting a 3.94 ERA with a 5.12 FIP. His strikeouts are down and his walks are up, which is always a good sign.
Pretty standard Royals lineup tonight, although Billy Butler will not start at DH since the Royals are playing in the Senior Circuit Park. Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star brings us the KC batting order:
Spiral Fix Lineup: Aoki 9, Infante 4, Hosmer 3, Gordon 7, Perez 2, Cain 8, Moustakas 5, Escobar 6, Duffy 1. #royals

St. Louis will start rookie outfielders Randal Grichuk and Oscar Taveras tonight, Cardinals fans hope those two will stay productive in the lineup for years to come. The team's official Twitter account brings us their batting order:
Lineup vs. KC (6/2): Carpenter, 3b; Grichuk, cf; Holliday, lf; Craig, 1b; Molina, c; Peralta, ss; Taveras, rf; Ellis, 2b; Miller, rhp.

If you enjoy watching Little Brother wildly flail his arms at Big Brother, who calmly holds him out of reach, then you are in luck tonight.
