Game CXVII Open Thread - The Athletics of Oak Land versus the Royals of Kansas City

SungWoo Lee continues his whirlwind trip to Kansas City, throwing out the first pitch. Yordano Ventura faces off against Sonny Gray with first place in the AL Central in play tonight. Weird, wild times.

These are wild damn times we're in right now.

The best team in baseball comes to town, and the Royals are not prohibitive underdogs.

The Royals are the hottest team in baseball, having won 15 of their last 18, and with a win and a Detroit loss would seize first place in the AL Central.

Perhaps more interestingly, at least on a personal level, SungWoo Lee gets to throw out the first pitch tonight. His entire last week is difficult not to get emotional about, as Royals fans and the entire city have banded together to make his visit unforgettable. Need proof?
