The Kansas City Royals will attempt to win a key road series on Sunday when they play the Oakland Athletics in the O.co Coliseum.

Today's game should be a good pitching matchup, with James Shields facing off against Scott Kazmir. Shields sports a 3.50 ERA with a 3.70 FIP; solid numbers but not as impressive as his 2013 campaign. Kazmir owns a 2.37 ERA with a 3.24 FIP, continuing his improbable renaissance.

Christian Colon is getting the start at third base against the southpaw. Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star brings us the Royals lineup:
