Game 136 Open Thread - Royals vs. Indians

A Sunday night game in Kauffman Stadium. I like how that sounds.

The Kansas City Royals will attempt to right the ship and avoid being swept at home when they take on the Cleveland Indians at Kauffman Stadium.

Danny Duffy will start the game for the Royals. Duffy has thrown a career high 134 2/3 innings this year, posting a sparkling 2.47 ERA with a 3.73 FIP. The southpaw needs to continue improving his K% and lowering his BB% to sustain his success; a .231 BABIP and a 5.6% HR/FB% will regress. Still, Duffy has an opportunity tonight to perform well in front of a national audience.

T.J. House will take the mound for Cleveland. House has made 13 starats this year, owning a 4.18 ERA with a 4.11 FIP. The soutphaw throws four pitches, but his overall stuff isn't overwhelming. It would be a nice night for the Kansas City offense to wake up and hang some crooked numbers.

ESPN is telvesing the game tonight; it's the first time the Royals have hosted Sunday Night Baseball since 2001. It should be a packed house tonight, let's hope the Royals give the fans plenty to cheer for.
