AL Wild Card Overflow Thread #2: Royals lead 3 - 2 in the middle of the fifth

The Royals rallied in the bottom of the third to take a 3 - 2 lead behind a Moustakas/Cain/Hosmer rally. The most important second overflow game thread in Royals history.

Earlier, from Shaun at the game:

Posting this from my phone at the game so bear with me.

Shields gave up a home run early on to Brandon Moss.  Kansas City answered with a Billy Butler singled to make it 2-1.

As awesome as Billy Butler can be, he was classic non Billy Butler and was thrown out trying to take second or having a seizure. One of the two.

Either way, we enter the bottom of the third down 2-1 needing at a minimum another run.

Report from the stadium: it's electric here. Everybody is on their feet and yelling.

Our tailgate went good. Basically all the Kevin's showed up. Pictures will follow soon.

Meanwhile, let's get this win. The crowd is here, the stadium is packed, the beer is flowing  and there is a legit buzz going around the stadium. Everybody here is begging for a win so... Come on. Let's get one.

Let's go Royals.

Thanks to Max making it big time

and Ralison Brie, the overflow girl, the Royals rallied in the bottom of the third with Lorenzo Cain doubling in Mike Moustakas, and Eric Hosmer following with a lazy two-out blooper to shallow left that plated Cain.

Lester is at 57 pitches through four innings. Shields sits at 80 through five innings.

This game is a goddamn fWAR!
