The reigning American League Champion Kansas City Royals will face off against their cross-complex rivals the Texas Rangers, who spent the 2014 season on the opposite end of the spectrum finishing with the worst record in the American League after being beset by a historic slew of injuries. With the Royals having taken the first two match-ups in the first two days of the Spring Training slate.

While the Rangers have only the lowly, odd-year San Francisco Giants below them in the Cactus League standings, the Royals still find themselves in the mix for the coveted Cactus League crown, sitting a game-and-a-half behind Oakland and half a game back of the Dodgers.

The Royals will have Jason Vargas toe the rubber while their batsmen will face Lisalverto Bonilla, whose poor showing this spring is putting his spot on the Major League roster in jeopardy after being told he was in the mix for the job of fifth starter heading into camp.

This one is for a few of the marbles. It can be heard on MLB.com.
