Blue Jays manager John Gibbons is short on options with his bullpen after a 14-2 route in Game Four of the ALCS against the Royals. With reliever Liam Hendriks going 4 1/3 innings on 59 pitches yesterday, he is unavailable today.
Gibby says Price is available to pitch out of the bullpen today, as is Dickey. "Hopefully you don't need (Price), but he could prove vital."

If Price does pitch today & #BlueJays win, Stroman would go on short rest in Game 6 & either Price or Dickey in Game 7.

Left-handed reliever Aaron Loup is also not available, having left the team to attend to a family emergency.
Loup returned home for family matter before yest's game. He can't be replaced on the roster b/c no bereavement/parental leave in postseason.

Closer Roberto Osuna is also nursing a fingernail injury that is affecting his ability to use his slider. Osuna joins Aaron Sanchez, Mark Lowe, LaTroy Hawkins, and Ryan Tepera as available relievers, as well as any starting pitchers like Price that Gibbons chooses to make available.
Of course, perhaps the Jays could turn to Cliff Pennington again.
