Johnny Cueto has been seriously squeezed so far. He has had multiple strikes called as balls. Cueto is falling behind in counts because of it, but he has somehow managed to work his way through it. deGrom has not appeared to be squeezed as much.

The run scored after a failed double play attempt in which Hosmer fielded an errant throw from Mike Moustakas that "pulled" him off the bag. The ump called the runner safe, but replays showed (what looked to me) Hosmer's foot still on the bag. Hosmer apparently did not complain, and the radio broadcast thought his foot came off the bag. It was a pivotal play because a Lucas Duda bloop shot scored a run the next play.
