It's a new day, Royals fans. It's also Cueto Day. Get pumped.
The postseason may not have started the way the Kansas City Royals wanted it to yesterday, but that can do a quick-180 today. Johnny Cueto will oppose the struggling Scott Kazmir as the Royals look to even up this ALDS at one game apiece.
Quite frankly, today was why the Royals brought Johnny Cueto to Kansas City. For the Royals to win this series, he'll have to be good today and then likely again in game five. He's certainly capable.
Ned Yost's lineup will remain the same. As the team has done all year with their backs against the wall, I'm expecting a resilient win with a lot of bat flips and funny gestures by the players following base hits. Yesterday's loss was a mixture of bad approach, poor luck and dreadful play. Today will be different. There will be Shimmys.
