Terrance Gore finds himself suiting up for the Royals before September. I didn't think that was something I'd write, but here we are. Alex Rios went to the DL due to the other 29 teams' apparent head-hunting policy against the Royals. Alex Gordon's wrist necessitated another outfielder to begin with, so let's hope that nothing more happens to the outfield. Ned Yost has stated that Paulo Orlando and Jarrod Dyson will platoon in right field.
Tonight, the Royals face the Twins in the 2nd game of the series. After an off day yesterday, everyone is ready to play. Gordon will start. Salvador Perez will start. Dyson will start. The Royals will run wild.
Edinson Volquez gets the pitching start for the Royals. His first outing was an 8 inning gem of 1 run ball with 5 strikeouts and only 1 walk. Obviously, a repeat would be nice.
Tonight's lineup:
Pure Violence Lineup: Escobar 6, Moustakas 5, Cain 8, Hosmer 3, Morales DH, Gordon 7, Perez 2, Infante 4, Dyson 9, Volquez 1. #royals
