Game XVII Open Thread: Royals at White Sox

Despite some questionable actions from both teams, Kansas City is 4-0 against Chicago this season. They look to maintain the perfect record on Friday night.

Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

Kansas City brings the best record in the American League into Friday night's showdown with the Chicago White Sox. At 12-4, the Royals attempt to clinch at least a split of the four-game series when they take on Jose Quintana, a solid southpaw who has somehow never defeated them.

The Royals will hand the ball to their own young lefty in Danny Duffy, who has been inconsistent at times despite a 1-0 record in the young 2015 season. Prior to the game, Brandon Finnegan was recalled from Triple-A Omaha after the team used six relievers in last night's win.

Here we go again - should we expect retaliation from either organization following the events in the seventh inning yesterday? Five ejections were handed out, but the MLB hasn't announced any suspensions or fines yet. It should be an exciting game, but the Royals are one win away from a season-best nine games over .500.
