Royals vs. Tigers: Friday Night Game Thread

Will this game be better than the dollar hot dogs given out at Kauffman?

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

Kansas City made a resounding statement with its 8-1 win over the Tigers on Thursday. One season removed from a dreadful 2-8 mark against Detroit in home games, the Royals are one win away from matching their entire 2014 total.

Seeking to establish a 2-0 advantage in the series, the Royals will line up like this:

Chris Young (1-0) will make his first start of 2015, filling in for the suspended Edinson Volquez. No pitcher posted a higher fly ball percentage rate last year than Young's 56% mark, and he'll turn to the spacious Kauffman Stadium to keep the Tiger bats at bay.
