This is going to look a lot like yesterday's game thread. It's not. That's just the earwig eating away at your sanity.
I have very little to say. The Royals are playing the Cubs. I want the Royals to win, because Royals, but at the same time, I kinda really like the Cubs. Aside from the huge #RoyalsToWrigley movement that has taken place, and how welcome and inviting the North Siders have been, they are a good young team, with a superlative manager and a GM who knows what he's doing.
The common bond, other than the blue in the uniforms, is the red in the eyes, the boiling, seething hate for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Yordano Ventura faces off against Tsuyoshi Wada. Ventura had a great start followed by a start that was better than the earned runs in the box score.
Tsuyoshi Wada is a second-year player out of Japan who has been with the Cubs since 2012. He's pretty good.
Alex Rios is back in action today. His name is Rios and he's dancing in the stands.
The only bad thing about these two teams playing each other is that one of them has to lose. And the lack of a designated hitter. And Infante hitting second. And no Hosmer.
