Last fall we partnered with BreakingT for some nifty Royals-inspired shirts during their post-season run. We're partnering up with BreakingT again to celebrate the fact that a million billion Royals are getting voted into the All-Star Game. They've drawn up two t-shirts and they want our opinion on which one should be sold to the general public.
The first option illustrates why democracy is, as Winston Churchill said, "the worst form of government, except all the others." Democracy gives us the Congress we have, Sanjaya as an "American Idol" finalist, and Omar Infante as the American League All-Star second baseman. Kansas City voted, and they voted A LOT. We may not turn out for elections for trivial things like local government, but we care when it comes to who will play in an exhibition baseball game.
The second option shows off what we know will be true in July - the American League roster will practically be an All-Royals affair. Salvador Perez, Alcides Escobar, Lorenzo Cain, and Alex Gordon are near locks to be headed to Cincinnati, and Omar Infante, Kendrys Morales, Mike Moustakas, Eric Hosmer, Wade Davis, and Greg Holland could join them as well. Its the National League vs. the Royals, LIVE on FOX.
Whatever shirt is chosen will be available this week, and shipped ready to wear in time for the All-Star Game on July 14.
Vote 35 times for the Royals here, then vote below for which shirt you would like to see sold. We'll keep the voting open until noon tomorrow.
