So that first game was fun huh?
The Royals were able to pull one out despite trotting out their JV lineup. In the night cap, the grownups come out to hit with Salvador Perez back in the lineup and Jarrod Dyson replacing the TOOTBLAN champ Alex Rios.
Its the second game of a doubleheader, so both teams are allowed to expand their rosters and include a 26th man. The Royals bring up pitcher Aaron Brooks to fill out the bullpen for a game, while the Rays will call up pitcher Matt Andriese to start. Andriese is a 25-year old right-hander acquired from the Padres before the 2014 season in the trade for Alex Torres and Jesse Hahn that brought Logan Forsythe and Brad Boxberger to Tampa Bay. Andriese has pitched in 41 1/3 innings this year, walking just seven, with a 3.24 ERA but a 4.23 FIP. He last pitched in the big leagues on June 27 and gave up just one hit over six shutout innings against the Red Sox, and for his trouble he was sent down to make room for Matt Moore. Andriese's fastball sits at 91 mph, and he throws a plus two-seamer, and can offer a cutter, curveball and slider as well.
