Last night's game was equal parts fun and frustrating, which is pretty much what will happen when you lose a game in extras with Wade Davis and Greg Holland sitting in the bullpen, twiddling thumbs, shuffling feet, backs ever stiffening:
Wade Davis is day to day with back stiffness.

Ah. Well. Since you can't use your closer without a lead on the road, that explains that as well. Everything's tied up in a neat little bow, now isn't it?
Yordano Ventura twirls this afternoon for Kansas City. He's something akin to being very good, though he is still trying to pull it all together consistently. The last start was encouraging, going seven innings and scattering six hits while striking out five and walking none.
More of that would be nice.
The Blue Jays counter with something called a Mark Buehrle. He's 11-5 with a 3.29 ERA. Science has yet to crack the enigma that is Buehrle, a guy with a 4.50 K/9 who induces a bevy of bad contact and works faster than a thing that works fast. Maybe like a, whirling dervish with a gravity drive? I dunno. It's late. Point is, the game is likely to be over fast.
