Game 114 Thread: Angels vs. Royals

It's the first game of a four-game set between the West Coast Spirits and Heartland Monarchs.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, California, United States, North America, Earth, Sol System, Milky Way, Local Cluster, Universe will play the first game in a four-game set against the Kansas City Royals tonight. The Angels likely are not interested in coming here, as they have skidded recently and have fared poorly against the Royals recently.

In the first month of the season, Kansas City swept Los Angeles in an embarrassing recreation of the 2014 American League Divisional Series, where KC stomped them on route to a World Series appearance.

Tonight, the Royals send their B Team up against the Angels:

Here's the Angels' lineup:

Why is it the B team? The Royals are playing Drew Butera, Alex Rios, Omar Infante, and Jeremy Guthrie, all of whom are the worst on the team at their respective positions. Save us, Alex Gordon. Please.
