Yordano Ventura bobblehead giveaway contest

Win a Yordano Ventura bobblehead!

Kansas City Royals home games at Kauffman Stadium generally have some solid promotions, and after the Royals' 2014 trip to the World Series, the team did not disappoint. The team commissioned four bobbleheads, one representing each level of the playoffs. Salvador Perez in the Wild Card Game, fists in the air, was the first one. One of Lorenzo Cain's many brilliant catches in the ALDS was the second bobblehead. The third was Mike Moustakas' beautiful catch over the railing as he fell into the crowd.

The fourth bobblehead depicts Yordano Ventura in pitching motion in the midst of Game 6 of the World Series, arguably the most important start by a Royals pitcher in 30 years. It is this bobblehead that we are giving away!

Ventura Bobblehead

The rules

To enter, all you need to do is predict the Royals' record for the month of August in the comments below. Remember to include the games they have already played!  If you don't have a Royals Review account, you can easily sign up by clicking the 'Sign Up' button at the top right of the page. You can either link a social media account as a login or create a unique account based on an email; both are free.

Alternatively, you can also tweet your predictions to me at @LaMar_Matt using the hashtag #YVBobble.

Voting ends tomorrow at 7:10 Eastern/6:10 Central at first pitch for the Royals/Tigers game. I will close comments at that time.

To recap:

  • Enter by commenting below or tweeting, one entry per person
  • MAIN QUESTION: Predict the Royals' August record (including games already played)
  • TIEBREAKER: Predict the Royals' run differential for August (including games already played)
  • SECOND TIEBREAKER: Predict Ben Zobrist's batting average for August (ditto above)
  • Closest to correct number, above or below, wins

The winner will be announced in September, and he or she will receive the brand new bobblehead in time for the Royals' 2015 World Series run.

Good guessing!
