Chiefs/NFL Sunday open thread

No Royals baseball this afternoon, so chat about NFL Opening Weekend.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Royals play on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball this evening, so that gives us a free afternoon. Why not kick back and enjoy some Chiefs football?

The Chiefs open up their 2015 season on the road against the Houston Texans. The Chiefs are coming off a 9-7 season in which they barely missed the playoffs, but will be getting players like Derrick Johnson back from injury, and will feature an upgraded receiving corps including former Mizzou wideout Jeremy Maclin. The Chiefs open as a "pick 'em" on the road, but its an important game as their Week  Two opponent is the defending AFC West Division title winners, the Denver Broncos. Follow all the latest Chiefs news and previews over at Arrowhead Pride, but feel free to chat about the game here.

Here is the full slate of NFL games for today.

Of course, there will be other baseball teams playing today, including the Blue Jays looking to finish a sweep of the Yankees and keep the pressure on the Royals for home field advantage. There are other, less important sports going on today, so feel free to talk about that or just about how your weekend is going as well.
