The Royals have released their 2016 promotional schedule with plenty of free goodies for all the good Royals fans. It all starts Sunday, April 3, when the Royals host Opening Day against their World Series foe, the New York Mets. All 40,000 fans that day will receive a free magnetic schedule, but more importantly, YOU WILL GET TO SEE YOUR TEAM HOIST A CHAMPIONSHIP FLAG! Pretty neat.
The Royals will give away five bobbleheads this year, one for Ned Yost (May 14), Kendrys Morales (June 18), Alcides Escobar (June 25), Wade Davis (July 24), and Salvador Perez (September 3). Here is a preview of what some of them look like:

The Royals will give away a replica Championship trophy on April 23 to the first 20,000 fans. If you're looking for some sharp gear to wear, the Royals will give away Kansas City Monarchs fedoras on May 15, which will also be "Dressed to the Nines" day and their "Salute to the Negro Leagues". You can see Royals prospects on Futures Night on September 30.
The Royals will also have six "T-shirt Tuesdays" giving shirts away to the first 10,000 fans. The design of those shirts has yet to be announced. The annual Big Slick Celebrity Softball game to raise money for Children's Mercy will take place June 17. The Royals Charities Auction will be held May 17. "Zombie Night" will be September 2 and "Star Wars Day" will be September 18. The team will also have ten local music nights - April 20, May 18, June 1, June 15, July 20, July 27, August 10, August 31, September 14, and September 28.
The Royals will have five days promoting local universities: Wichita State Night (May 28), K-State Night (June 24), Mizzou Night (July 22), Huskers Night (August 6), KU Day (August 21)
Other free giveaways include a Royals reusable bag (May 29), a BBQ spatula (June 19), a kids Sluggerrr Big Head (July 10), a Royals ballcap (August 20), a Royals sling bag (September 16), a Royals batting practice pullover (September 17), and Royals mittens (October 1).
The team will also have Boy Scout Day (April 10), Nurses Appreciation Night (May 3), Colon Cancer Awareness Night (May 13), Tourism Night (May 17), Armed Forces Night (May 30), Roberto Clemente Day (May 31), Viva Los Reales (June 25), Girl Scout Day (June 26), Faith and Family Day (July 9), KidsFest (July 10), Epilepsy Awareness Night (August 5), Arts Day (August 7), Irish Heritage Night (August 31), Bacon Day (September 3), Girls Night Out (September 16), Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Night (September 17), and Fan Appreciation Night (October 1).
The team will also continue to have "Value Mondays" where fans can buy HyVee level tickets for $10, Firework Fridays, Buck Nights, and Family FunDay Sundays.
