Toronto and Cleveland meet tonight in Cleveland for Game One of the ALCS, with both teams hoping to win a pennant for the first time since a Clinton was in the White House. Toronto has been in this situation before, of course, falling to the Royals in six games last year. Cleveland last played in the League Championship Series in 2007, going up 3-1 against Boston before blowing the last three games in typical Cleveland fashion.
Potential Cy Young winner Corey Kluber goes for the Indians. He suffered a quad injury late in the year to put his post-season in doubt, but put to rest any fears when he tossed seven shutout innings against Boston in the ALDS. He’ll go up against Marco Estrada and his amazing changeup. Estrada was fantastic in two starts in the ALCS last season, and gave up just one run over 8 1⁄3 innings in the ALDS against Texas.
Tonight’s game begins at 7 CT on TBS, TBS.com and the Watch TBS app.
