Someone will end a long championship drought this month, and it all begins tonight as the Chicago Cubs face the Cleveland Indians. The Cubs come in as heavy favorites, having won 103 games, while the Indians won 94 games and are without both outfielder Michael Brantley and pitcher Carlos Carrasco. They do get pitcher Danny Salazar back, after missing the last month with a forearm injury. The Cubs also get a big piece back from injury, placing slugger Kyle Schwarber on the active roster after his missed virtually the entire season with an ACL injury.
Jon Lester faces off against Corey Kluber in Game One, making this one of the best pitching matchups in recent World Series history.
