The Royals are no friend to the Blue Jays or Orioles, but someone has to win this Wild Card Game to go on to face the Texas Rangers. Both teams can slug it out, each featuring six hitters in the lineup with 20+ home runs, with both clubs finishing in the top three in home runs.
Baltimore has had trouble with their starting rotation, but as the Royals showed last year, a top shelf starting rotation is not necessary for October success. Chris Tillman and his 16 wins will go for them tonight, and he thrived in two starts in Rogers Centre this year with a 2.38 ERA and just one home run allowed.
Toronto counters with Marcus Stroman, who was underwhelming with his 4.37 ERA and 3.76 FIP. The Jays, however, led the league in ERA, and have a pretty deep pen they can turn to if things go awry early.
Its the battle of the birds, the Canadian Clash. I'm no fan of Jose Bautista, but the tweets from Jason La Canfora will be insufferable if the Orioles win, so I think you know where my allegiances lie tonight.
You can watch the game at 7pm CT tonight on TBS, at TBS.com, or with the Watch TBS app.
