Baseball is back today! Kind of. The Royals will play an intrasquad game, and the twitter account for KCSP 610 will give play-by-play.

Don't recognize some of the names? Get to know your non-roster invitees here. It is mostly minor leaguers today, to get them some action so the World Champions can go hit the links. But there are some interesting names out there like Raul Mondesi, the top prospect who is playing second base today, and Christian Colon, who is battling for the starting second base job. Paulo Orlando, who is likely to platoon with Jarrod Dyson in the outfield will play, as well Jose Martinez, Travis Snider, and Brett Eibner, who are all trying to earn a spot on the Opening Night roster. The Royals will also get a look at Balbino Fuenmayor, whose status has become legendary for his remarkable story and prodigious power.
At the very least, it is baseball, or at least a baseball-like substance, and it will tide us over until true Cactus League play opens up on Wednesday against the Rangers.
