Be at peace, or be excited, or emerge from your hibernations, or be whatever you want to be. Today, the 2015 World Champion Kansas City Royals will re-enter the baseball field in a contest against the baseball players from a different team. Yes, it's March. Yes, the stats are basically meaningless. Yes, most people will lose interest with Spring Training pretty quickly.

However, just relish that we'll have some form of baseball almost every day for the next, like, seven or eight months or so. You get to complain about Ned Yost bringing in Wade Davis after Scott Alexander gives up seven runs in the ninth. You get to marvel at Lorenzo Cain blasting a ball into Death Valley. The commentators probably won't make a lot of noise. Just sit back and enjoy.

Hey, a real opponent.

Kyle Zimmer gets the start. Cactus League championship incoming.
