LAST DAY OF SPRING TRAINING ROYALS V DIAMONDBACKS FAUX GAME WHATEVER THREAD

Yordano tilts against former Tiger and current snake Robbie Ray.

It's the last game of Spring Training. The Royals open the season tomorrow against the New York Mets. If you aren't excited, then you might want to see a doctor.

Aside from Yordano Ventura starting the game, it's going to be a real "B" squad affair. Anybody scheduled to start tomorrow's game for Kansas City will not play today. Most relievers will not be used. Anyone who pitches in the game once Ventura leaves is more than likely going to be not breaking east with the club.

Still, this game stands as a monument to what is to come, to tomorrow's protracted victory lap and that ever-enticing first pitch yet to come.

The Diamondbacks will counter with Robbie Ray, the former Tigers prospect traded to the Dorsos de Diamante in the same trade that sent Didi Gregorious to the Yankees and Shane Greene to Detroit. At one time, he profiled as a mid-rotation starter, but after struggling a bit people see him more as a left-handed reliever who could possibly fill out the back end of a rotation.

Tomorrow, people. Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.
