After a day off which was surely scheduled to allow for everyone to recover from the breathtaking season opener, the reigning champs from each league lock horns again. With Opening Day taking on a playoff atmosphere and featuring a lengthy ceremony celebrating the Royals' success at the expense of their opponents across the field, months old tensions could flare as the Royals receive their rings today.
The final game in a two-game set, today's pitching match-up pits Chris Young against Noah Syndergaard in one of the most extreme contrasts in style imaginable. Young will look to confound the Mets with his seemingly pedestrian stuff coming from such an odd place that it seems to disappear on them. Syndergaard will bring a filthy arsenal at high velocity, challenging the Royals who might possibly hold a high and tight heater against him.
These will be the Mets:

The Royals will field the same starting lineup as on Opening Day.
