Kansas City looks to even the series in the Bronx.

Just minutes after Ryan Lefebvre boasted about how the "Bronx Bombers" don't hit a lot of home runs, Chris Young was shelled for five dingers against the Yankees last night. The slumping Royals, now losers of 10 of their last 13 games, dipped below .500 for the first time since July 2014.

Tonight, Kris Medlen will look to rebound off of a brutal start against the Nationals. His goal? To get Kansas City back to .500. It won't be easy, though, as the Royals will be taking on Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka.

It's Salvador Perez' birthday, and it's already been a brutal day for the Royals. First, Raul Mondesi Jr. was suspended 50 games for testing positive for a banned substance. Then, it was revealed that Chris Young has been suffering from arm tightness, a warning sign that sometimes leads to Tommy John surgery. In case you hadn't heard, Dillon Gee will make the start on Saturday against the Braves.
