Ian Kennedy (3-2, 2.61) tilts for Kansas City, a team hoping to get back to some semblance of reasonable performance. Kennedy has been the best starting pitcher on the staff not named Edinson Volquez this year, and is on pace currently for a 3-WAR season.

Cleveland counters with Cody Anderson (0-1, 7.65), who can perhaps be best summed up as "his peripherals look okay but yeesh."

So, he'll probably throw eight innings of one-run ball today. Because baseball is funny that way.
