The Kansas City Royals open a three-game series standing three games behind their foes, the Cleveland Baseball Team Who Assures Us They're Phasing Out Their Racists Caricature of a Mascot Despite There Being No Sign of This Actually Happening.

With a chance to close the gap in the American League Central presenting itself, Kansas City sends its Opening Day starter Edinson Volquez to the mound. Cleveland will put Carlos Carrasco on the mound, hoping that he regains his 2015 form.
