Tonight: the 87th MLB All Star Game in San Diego, California.
The American League seeks to win homefield advantage in the World Series for the fourth straight season when Ned Yost's squad takes Petco Park as the "home" team. Representing the Royals are four All Stars, though only three will be in uniform tonight: starting catcher Salvador Perez, starting first baseman Eric Hosmer, and relief pitcher Kelvin Herrera. Wade Davis was also chosen to the team, but he's in Kansas City, rehabbing his sore forearm.
It'll be fun hearing Joe Buck announce Ned Yost as "Manager of the World Champion Royals," but what else are you looking forward to seeing tonight? What are you expecting from the Royal All Stars? It's one of the most fun nights of baseball all season, and who knows, we could be celebrating homefield advantage for Kansas City's impending third straight trip to the Fall Classic here pretty soon.
