Kendrys Morales is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Toronto with a back injury. Brett Eibner will bat at designated hitter tonight. Morales claims his back "locked up on him" in Tuesday night's loss to the Blue Jays, according to Star beat writer Rustin Dodd. He is expected to be day-to-day.
I asked Kendrys Morales how bad his back was, and he shook his head and said, in English, "Pretty sore." #Royals

Morales has been the Royals' hottest hitter lately, batting .381/.435/.705 since the start of June, and he was named American League Player of the Week last week.
The Royals will look to avoid a sweep against the Blue Jays tonight against Marcus Stroman. Ian Kennedy goes for the Royals.
