Tuesday Thread: Royals go for Nine Straight

Can Yordano Ventura pilot the Royals to a ninth-straight win on Tuesday night?

Peter G. Aiken-USA TODAY Sports

Greetings from Marlins Park, the newest stadium in Major League Baseball. The Royals have never played a game inside the confines of this park before, so they'll take the field in Miami for the first time in years on their hottest streak in two seasons. Kansas City has won eight games row, its longest winning streak since August 2014.

Tonight: NL baseball! Yordano Ventura is 1-for-1 in 2016, so maybe he'll keep that pace up. He'll bat ninth. Eric Hosmer, a Miami native, will hit fourth.

I would post the whole lineup, but I have to do this at 3:00 pm and it's not out yet. So I'll assume it's about the same as it always is.

The Royals are 4.0 games out of a playoff spot. A win tonight would be another step towards narrowing that gap. Get 'er done.
