Royals rookies get their hazing

Its a good look!

Rookie hazing is an annual tradition among all teams in baseball. Typically near the end of the year, the veterans have the newcomers don embarrassing costumes as a way of welcoming them to the fraternity of Major League Baseball. Last year, the Royals rookies looked like they were part of the chain gang. This year, I don’t know what look they were going for. You be the judge.

It looks like Cheslor Cuthbert as Fred Flinstone, Brooks Pounders as the Mexican wrestler, Raul Mondesi as the pimp, Whit Merrifield as the Karate Kid, Matt Strahm as the mime, Alec Mills as the half-naked doctor, Kevin McCarthy as the Hooters girl, Scott Alexander as the camel rider, and Hunter Dozier as Rambo? And is that Jarrod Dyson peeking out from behind Raul Mondesi? I have no idea what is happening.

Cheslor Cuthbert has been a bedrock of consistency at third base. Yabba-dabba-doo!

Now that they’re earning a big league salary, maybe they can get some better threads. Welcome to the show!
