Ah, the Wild Card game. It has existed for just a few years, but in Kansas City, it has a special place in our hearts as the springboard for an amazing two-year run. It is just one game, do-or-die, win-or-go-home.
The Yankees host the Twins tonight in the American League Wild Card game at 7 p.m on ESPN. Old friend Ervin Santana will try to get the 85-win Twins into the ALDS against Yankees starter Luis Severino. The winner gets the Cleveland Indians. Can the Twins continue their improbable success this year? Or will the mystique and aura of Yankee Stadium coupled with the new bash brothers Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez prove to be too much?
Lineups for tonight's AL Wild Card Game (8 ET on ESPN).
