Fox Sports Kansas City announced they will broadcast ten Royals spring training games in 2017, matching their total from last year. The broadcast schedule begins Friday, March 10 at 7pm CT against the Oakland Athletics. FSKC will continue to broadcast games that entire weekend, showing the Saturday afternoon tilt against the Indians and the Sunday afternoon contest against the Dodgers. The Thursday, March 16 afternoon game against the Padres will be broadcast.
Royals fans will get to see the defending American League champion Indians again on Saturday, March 18, followed by the Cincinnati Reds on March 20. The March 22 game against the Padres, March 25 game against the Brewers, and March 28 game against the White Sox will complete the Arizona portion of the TV schedule. The spring training broadcast schedule wraps up with a Saturday afternoon exhibition on April 1 in Arlington against the Rangers.
KCSP 610 Sports will also air 20 games over the radio, beginning on February 26 against the Rangers. The station has announced 18 dates, but will add two more once the NCAA tournament schedule is revealed, since the station owns the rights to Kansas basketball games.
