The nineties were a wild time. Grunge music. Beverly Hills 90210. Kerri Strugg. The Clintons. French-rolled jeans. And bad Royals baseball.

The Royals were bad in the 90s, but still a far cry from the awful baseball that was to come the following decade. However the era was marked by poor hitting, as they transitioned from their 80s juggernaut to a franchise without any kind of identity.
