The Royals are in the middle of their now famous Ohio Spring (Training) Saturday Sandwich. Look it up! Or don't - Lord knows what urban dictionary has listed for that entry. After facing the Reds last week, the Royals will play the Indians this week.

This titanic battle could determine the fate of the earth! Last two AL Central winners? Check! Last three AL pennants? You bet! Midwestern cities with the 30th and 31st largest MSAs in the USA (aka smallest baseball markets not named Milwaukee)? Uh... yeah! If Cleveland wins the game, they may not stop there! A Royals win could prevent the slaughter of 26,662 Kansas Citians at the hands of bloodthirsty Clevelanders.

The Royals are the road team, playing at Goodyear Ballpark. Next week, they'll play a rematch in Surprise. And I may or may not just cut and paste most of the text from this preview as we'll be knee deep in the NCAA tournament this time next weekend.

Maybe we'll see Chisenhall today.

Apparently Jason Vargas draws all Royals starts against the state of Ohio (warning: SSS) after giving up 1 ER in 2 IP last Saturday to the Reds.

There’s this:

Below are the lineups. If they’re not there, it’s because I’m out and Max forgot to include them as he fell asleep milking a goat (these are going to get progressively more silly until he actually forgets to delete it one day):

Wheat Belt vs Rust Belt! Be there!
