Kansas City Royals vs. Houston Astros, Game 5 Open Thread

Win today, and we have a bona fide winning streak.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Royals are finally in the win column, and now they will look to getting back to .500 after dropping three of their first four contests. Danny Duffy is the guy you want on the mound to get a win streak going. There was a lot to like about Duffy's first start, in which he went six innings and tied the franchise record for most strikeouts in an Opening Day start with eight.

Dallas Keuchel goes to the hill for the Astros, having tossed a two-hit shutout for seven innings against the Mariners in his first start. Keuchel took a big step backwards last ear with a 4.55 ERA and 3.87 FIP, and will look to rebound to his 2015 numbers, when he won the Cy Young Award with a 2.48 ERA and 20 wins.

The Royals will sit lefties Mike Moustakas and Brandon Moss against Keuchel, as well as switch-hitter Raúl Mondesí. Christian Colón and Drew Butera will get their first action of the season.
