With news of Danny Duffy's oblique injury and according six-to-eight weeks on the shelf, any baseball being played by the Royals will happen in a funereal haze. The Royals will commence a three-game series against the fourth-place Tigers, with a three-game sweep allowing Kansas City to climb out of the cellar in the Central, though they would still be without their ace until around mid-July.
The Royals will face southpaw Daniel Norris in tonight's tilt. Sent out to try to dispatch of the Tigers will be right-hander Jason Hammel, who will attempt to build off of a positive start last time out.
