Friday Night Thread: Royals at White Sox

Please win baseball games.

Peter G. Aiken-USA TODAY Sports

It's been a forgettable week for the Kansas City Royals, who enter the weekend on a four-game losing streak and having lost 9 of their last 11 games.

Tonight, they'll look to get off the struggle bus as they take on the last-place Chicago White Sox, who enter the series coming off a weird sweep of the Houston Astros.

The pitching matchup: Danny Duffy and Reynaldo Lopez.

Starting next week, I'll be working Thursday and Friday afternoons instead of evenings, which means recaps will actually be on time in just a few short days! In the meantime, please excuse the tardiness of tonight's recap, which will hopefully be of the Royals' first win in almost a week.
