Game 116 Thread: Royals vs White Sox

Please win, please win, please win...

MLB: Kansas City Royals at Chicago White Sox Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

It has been a problematic last few days. Well, last few weeks. The Kansas City Royals, once seven games above .500 and owners of the first Wild Card spot, have fallen below .500 and a quintet of teams are crowded in front of the Royals in the standings.

Tonight, the Royals attempt to get to .500 ball again and replicate the kind of winning streak they had a month ago. If not, this season will begin to go down the drain faster than you can say ‘Escobar grounds out.’

The Royals turn to the South Side to whatever they’re calling The Cell these days, hoping Ian Kennedy can stem the tide.
