In search of a winning streak.

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Royals face off against the Oakland Athletics looking to continue their recent winning ways.

The Royals took the last two games off of the Chicago White Sox after dropping five straight and eleven of thirteen games. Jake Junis gets the start for Kansas City. On the year, he is 4-2 with a 4.70 ERA across seven starts and three relief appearances.

The Athletics will counter with Jharel Cotton, who is 5-9 on the season with a 5.72 ERA.

The Royals are five back of Cleveland and have slipped behind the Minnesota Twins in the AL Central. Meanwhile, they are a game back of the Los Angeles Angels for the second Wild Card spot.
