The elimination number is now four.

For all Mike Moustakas is begging the fans to keep believing in the team the stark reality is this: the Royals could win out and still miss the playoffs by several wins. Many people have accused the team of giving up or not trying as people always do when a team doesn’t perform to their standards. It even happened in 2015 when the Royals lost a handful of games in September.

No, this team hasn’t given up. If anything games like the one Friday night show they might even be trying too hard. With every win they’ve had this month I have had the thought, “This is it! This is when the Royals get hot and make that last minute push for the playoffs!” but it just hasn’t come. Moose is right, though, crazy things happens and four is more than zero. Maybe the Royals can still do it. There are still plenty of possible crazy scenarios out there. Many of them could be just as fun as the playoffs without even actually being the playoffs.

Let’s just see what our Boys in Blue can do, today.
