The Astros took a huge advantage in the series by taking Game 1 of the ALCS, a game that was really a comedy of errors, quite literally for Eduardo Nunez, Red Sox manager Alex Cora was ejected, and the contest included umpire Joe West getting hit square in the torso on a throw down to second from catcher Christian Vazquez. I can’t watch this enough.

The Astros won 7-2 by drawing nine walks in the game, a retort to the small ball fanatics. Boston will hope for a better pitching performance tonight with David Price, but his post-season struggles have been well-documented. The last time we saw David in the ALCS, Lorenzo Cain was scoring from first on a single from Eric Hosmer. On the other hand, Price shut out the Astros in 6 2⁄3 innings of relief in last year’s ALDS.
He’ll go against Gerrit Cole, which will mark the first time that two #1 overall picks will face each other in the post-season. If only we could have gotten Luke Hochevar to face Brian Bullington.

The game is at 6:09 CT on TBS, although I imagine some of you may be flipping back and forth between that game involving the son of former Twins pitcher Patrick Mahomes.
Hey, while we’re here, which cheesy post-season slogan meant to move merchandise do you like better - #NeverSettle for the Astros or #DoDamage for the Red Sox?
