The Cubs and Rockies both lost their game 163 yesterday, and not only will they have to hang their head in shame, but they’ll have to play another baseball game just over 24 hours later. Unlike yesterday though, someone is going to have their season end in the one-loss-and-you’re-out Wild Card format.
The Cubs have been a bit shaky over the last month, losing their grip on the Central Division. They have many former Royals on the squad, including infielder Ben Zobrist, pitchers Mike Montgomery, Jesse Chavez, Alec Mills, and Jorge de la Rosa, and pinch-runner Terrance Gore who yes, is on the Wild Card roster.
Here is tonight’s #Cubs lineup for the #WildCard game against the Rockies.

The Rockies have some former Royals as well, including battery-mates Drew Butera and closer Wade Davis. You can see their full Wild Card roster here. Matt Holliday, who was an analyst for MLB Network just a few months ago, is hitting fifth tonight.
