It may be the era of the bullpen but don’t tell the AL teams competing in the ALDS, today. In Houston Carlos Carrasco will take on Gerrit Cole while the Yankees’ Masahiro Tanaka will face off against David Price in Boston. The highest ERA among those four pitchers is Tanaka’s 3.75. Cole’s ERA is actually at 2.88 which is just astounding to someone who grew up with baseball in the late 90’s and early 00’s.
Houston and Cleveland face off in the day game which starts at 3:37 CDT. The northeast rivalry series will continue in prime time at 7:15 CDT. All of these teams are loaded with starting pitchers and offensive talent which should make for some pretty exciting games.
We had 4 different starting pitchers with 200+ strikeouts this season, the 1st team to do so in MLB history.
