Royals Spring Training Gamethread VIII:

Good thing that’s a spring lineup

MLB: Kansas City Royals-Media Day
Tyler Collins inexplicably points to the Royals 50 Year patch on his shoulder despite having played in exactly 0 games that mattered for the team.

Alex Gordon leads off and starts in left field for the second day in a row, this time against the White Sox. I do not understand why Tyler Collins keeps getting placed in the heart of the order. And apparently Ned Yost thinks so little of Bubba Starling and Drew Butera that he refuses to bat either of them as high as seventh to break up the two lefties.

Today’s game will be broadcast neither on radio nor on TV, but Steve Stewart will have an exclusive webcast of the game for those who have paid for their MLB radio or TV internet packages. It will continue to implement their best feature: unintelligible crowd noise instead of commercials between half-innings.
