It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for warm-weather baseball in Kansas City. The Royals, 3-8 on the year, will try to turn around their cold start by taking on the Los Angeles Angels.
Since 2014, the Royals are 10-5 against the Angels at Kauffman Stadium. They’ve done well against them overall. But this team... is not like those other ones. The Angels are 11-3 and off to one of the best starts in baseball.
Tonight, Jason Hammel will oppose Andrew Heaney, a soft-tossing left-hander who makes his season debut.

I’m going to be at the game tonight, so the recap won’t come until about an hour after the last pitch. See, this is something you’re not able to do when the team is good. But you’ll have to be extra-patient for some post-game sass, or, hopefully, a victorious recap.
