Wednesday Thread: Kansas City Royals at Baltimore Orioles

The Royals look to make it two in a row at Camden Yards

MLB: Kansas City Royals at Baltimore Orioles Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

It’s approaching mid-May, and the Royals are heating up along with the weather outside. Following their brutal 5-20 start, Kansas City is 7-3 in their last 10 games and has the opportunity to get back within 10 games of .500 tonight.

They will take on the Baltimore Orioles, the AL’s worst team at 8-27, at 6:05 pm tonight. Baltimore hasn’t been a kind city to the Royals, as heading into last night, the Royals were 3-13 in their last 16 games (since 2012) at Camden Yards.

Excluding the playoffs (LOL), the Royals haven’t won consecutive games in Baltimore since May 27, 2012. They’ll look to buck that trend tonight behind Erik Skoglund (1-2, 6.84 ERA). He will oppose Andrew Cashner (1-4, 4.89), so this is matchup that will almost certainly feature lots of runs.
